NVIDIA attempts to quell criticism of the GeForce RTX 50 distribution. Its response is not entirely convincing.

Many of you have made this clear in the comments on our articles, and PC hardware forums are filled with users complaining about the limited availability of new NVIDIA graphics cards. Given the circumstances, the company led by Jensen Huang has been forced to come forward to appease gamers and try to explain what’s going on.

This is NVIDIA’s response
As we can see in the graph we published on the cover of this article, NVIDIA claims that during the first five weeks after launch, it has shipped twice as many GeForce RTX 50 family graphics cards as it did in the GeForce RTX 40 series. However, this explanation deserves a more careful analysis. As Tom’s Hardware and Reddit point out, this comparison doesn’t accurately reflect what’s happening.
